Like Half Girlfriend, I read this book to find out what India's top-selling writers are writing. But, alas, once again I am feeling disappointed. CB's Half Girlfriend was a big let down, considering he is the Most-Read writer of India. The same can be said about Ravinder's Your Dreams Are Mine Now. Ravinder is arguably the second most (or maybe 3rd most, if Durjoy is 2nd) read writer in India. His first book was honest, and simple. But after that, I have only seen a monotonous writing. His last book 'Like It Happened Yesterday' was a sheer disappointment. His latest release is definitely better than the last one. And, I think, it is better than Half Girlfriend too. But then, I am disappointed because these writers are not offering anything new to the readers. The book starts on a promising note, soon falls flat, and the whole concept of Politics goes wayward. The story itself drifts nonchalantly, and a reader, like me, fails to understand what the writer had in mind, or what message he eventually wanted to convey. Overall, this book is better than his last release, but definitely not good enough. If we remove Ravinder's name from this book (or his last book), and CB's name from Half Girlfriend, no one will read these books. For me, Ravinder's I Too Had A Love Story (though a little cliched and over-hyped), and CB's 2 States remain the best! Writers like Novoneel and Rohit Gore are delivering better books than the top-selling writers of India.

Ravinder Singh takes this story as the center plot. Rupali comes to Delhi for pursuing her college dreams. She gets enrolled into the Delhi University, which is the top most college in Delhi .But all is not what it seems to be.Rupali witnesses a professor forcing himself to a maid ,who works there in the college .Rupali captures in her Mobile the whole scene and she, with the help of her friends releases it in the You Tube. It is only a matter of seconds as the news spreads like Fire. And , we can all guess the fate of the Professor. The professor was put in bars for his actions. He seeks Revenge .Well, the author uses the Nirbhaya incident here .You can all guess who all played the parts . Rupali gets involved with Arjun when they work together to put the Professor in bars . Arjun is described in the book as a leader. It is mentioned , not once but many times that Arjun has the leadership qualities .But when he starts seeing Rupali .Rupali takes the reins and starts to leader the Group of which Arjun was the leader .Arjun nods his head at everything Rupali says . What happened to his leadership qualities !? It is said that Love can make you do crazy things. Well,It sure does ! Revenge is sweet. But it was not so sweet to read the part where the Professor takes his revenge against Rupali .I cringed at the part where the brutal scene was going . Love and Tragedy are the Trademarks of Ravinder Singh . I hope ,next time he takes a different route and write something different, out of the ordinary

Quite disappointed with the book. After reading prologue u will have an idea where its gonna end. I have read the first book from Ravinder Singh and i quite liked it as it was very honest. Just because your first book had tragic ending, not all the books need to have a tragic ending. Little anatomy, What exactly was this book about because i fail to understand 1. Love Story - quite amateurish 2. Address Social political issue - blunder 3. Attempt to reminiscent Delhi rape case - Quite disappointed with the book. I personally believe the story lacks creativity, even narration was not upto the mark. it is not always required to make the girl quintessential we live in 21st century we all have some shades of grey, okay ! fine even if u want to do exaggerate , u want to create drama/masala supplement extra details, so that I sounds convincing. There was no need to reminiscent Delhi rape case and if u r trying to do, don't goof up. I feel Durjoy write better books even better than Chetan Bhagat. I tried to like this book, but couldn't help myself. The more i tried to incline myself towards indian authors, i prefer to take U turn.

The end was very emotional and had a strong depiction of the infamous rape case of Delhi. It proves that this can happen to anyone of us or our near ones. The story conveys that no one deserves to have such fate. The motive of the book might be very strong, but I feel that everything is slightly mixed up. If the book was dedicated to the particular incident, then it did not get much space in the book. And if the incident was just picked up to give a sorrow ending to the book, it was a very bad way to do that. Ravinder Singh, is just a one book wonder for me.

The love story of Arjun and Rupali goes very slowly which makes me feel bored. but there are also few things which I like when a first-year girl (Rupali) proposed to a senior (Arjun), a very confident proposal...the planes flying above them, the noise of traffic. One can only understand the title if he/she read the book from start to end. It's a beautiful thought of author that the plant digs up by Rupali in the first year will be nurtured by Arjun in the end; because for Rupali that plant was her dreams and Arjun wants to take care of her dream. It's an innocent love story with a sad end. The previous work of the author is much better than this but if you are a fan of Ravinder Singh and like simple slow love story then you can give it a try.

A Masterpiece By Ravinder Singh ! Storytelling is an art and Ravinder has clearly proved that he is a master of it. From The first page till the last, It got me hooked all the time. I Finished this book now.. and when i noticed the clock, i was quite surprised. 2:00am !! I remember taking the book in my hands at 9pm.How fast time passed ?!! I just want to say how gripping the book was. The Love portion.. The Romance between Arjun and Rupali was so Cute A Masterpiece By Ravinder Singh ! I Finished this book now.. and when i noticed the clock, i was quite surprised. 2:00am !! I remember taking the book in my hands at 9pm.How fast time passed ?!! I just want to say how gripping the book was. The Love portion.. The Romance between Arjun and Rupali was so Cute <3 I loved it so much. While reading, for a few seconds, i used to close my eyes and visualize the scenes. I have read lot of Indian Authored Love Stories, But this one was kind of out of the box. Ravinder shows his mettle when it comes to Story writing. Most of the Love stories are typical and wound be very amateurish. But this one was written vividly and also professionally. The Political Portion... Apart from the love, The Crux of the story was all about the Clashes between the Rival Political Parties in DU. It was about the battle between two parties to get the support of the youth which would pen-ultimately increase their chances of being voted at the elections.(The Promises they make are just a pretext to get their hands on Money, which is their ultimate goal) The author also brings the plight of the People of North Eastern Indians into the readers notice. It was a very good attempt and I really Appreciate it.The Political portions weren't fillers. He gave importance to this as much as he did to the Cute Love Portion. The Climax- I really cant reveal even the tiniest part of the climax. I have only one word to describe it ! "Deeply Emotional" . I was crying very badly. My vision was blurred because of tears and i hastily read the last 50 pages of the book. I was so engrossed. I literally couldn't think of anything else for more than 10 minutes before i finished the book. My whole shirt was drenched in my own tears. The Characterization of Rupali was spot on ! And towards the end you will feel for that character. You will care for Ruplali !! I cried like as if Rupali was my Real-Life Dearest friend. That's how i cared for the character. I din't find this story as a fictional one. As a matter of Fact.. There are millions of Rupalis in the society. I really don't want to tell more as it would spoil the thrill to read the book I highly Recommend my friends to read this book. This book isn't like the typical indian author books you read. It will leave a long lasting impression in your mind as well as in your heart. MUST READ ! KUDOS for Ravinder for presenting yet another Heart Touching Emotional Story :)

Will she succumb to the charm and glitz of D.U or is there a way out of it? What is her true calling? It all will unfold right in front of the eyes. The story has an instant connect factor courtesy a familiar college setup, a budding friendship, a blooming romance and to top it all some politics. There's a lot of promise it holds as a sequence of events unfold in tandem and tread on a very thin line of becoming epic or falling right out of the line. The vengeful experience and the ever threatening politics of DU too leaves some glaring impressions and sets tone for a challenge up ahead. The story towards the end manages to pull off the emotions and angst and revive back some sour memories which scarred many for life. The story completely fizzles out as it fails to deal with politics altogether and prospers under the umbrella of romance. Without a fine balance it falters time and again in fact defeating the very purpose of its existence. The strong start is where it doesn't capitalizes and moves on to different directions and becomes aimless. It turns out to be late in getting the right mix for the people to read and ponder about. All in all the story had a lot of wonder and deliver but it's shaky roots leads to its downfall. The emotional connect with the character is aplenty but a firm story line is what it lacks and doesn't gets it right from the word go. There are moments to remember and savor and be severe about but for most of the part it's a very pale attempt to put up a brave story. A book with lot of hope but less on materialization.

When you rate a book or write a review, more than anything you rate an author for his work. I read "Can love happen Twice" in 2012 and decided that no more books by this author because of which I missed out two of his book after 2012. After reading his this book I'm pretty sure I made the right decision by not wasting my time over his last two books. The author needs to understand research is always good for a book but you aren't writing a research paper here. In this book he is giving detailed version of things that can certainly be given a miss. Things which can be written in two lines are being explained in two paragraphs because of which you are bound to skip paragraphs. This book's plot is love story between a guy who is into serious Delhi University politics and a girl next door. Arjun and Rupali are the central character who have been penned beautifully. The moments between Arjun and Rupali are the only thing that keeps you hooked onto the book. The chemistry between the lead pair holds strength but have not been given enough time to bloom into something we can remember-by. By the time their story starts you are through 25% of the book and the last 25% again you can give it a miss because we already know what happened. All in all the author tried to combine a lot of things together starting from DU politics to racial comments on North-East students to Nirbhaya case and ended up not creating what he was initially supposed to do. The staring is slow. Last 30 pages are what every citizen knows of India knows. The story could have been far better. I would say that if I would have missed this book, I wouldn't have missed anything. It seems the author got the beginner's luck with the first book. Certainly wouldn't recommend anyone. First book of year 2015 turned out to be dis-appointer!! Moreover wasted my Sunday.

2.5 stars I thought this would be a light read, and I would be able to finish it in a day. I was wrong. While the book itself was not too big and language quite simple, the subject it touches upon is complex. There are allusions to widely prevalent problems in our country like Sexual harrassment, corruption, caste based reservation quota etc, which I think is important, due to the huge fanbase this author seems to have. but they're mere plot devices and barely grazes the surface. I guess the author drew inspiration from the Delhi rape case. while he's tried to give some closure to his character, it doesn't feel like it's enough. I can stomach even gruesome murders, but rape, I just can't. (hide spoiler)] Also, apart from the fact that it is mentioned a couple of times, the title has no connection to the story. There were a couple of grammar errors here and there, that was slightly off-putting as well. Overall, I think the author's intent was good but the storytelling lacked consistency and fell flat.

If I am allowed to give a negative rating to a book, it would be this. The cover is misleading. But most importantly, Ravinder Singh has just woven a college love story around the infamous Nirbhaya case. Why did he really write this book, I wonder. A typical college love story only with an exception that the girl fights against the college professor for taking advantage of a peon. P.S: I did not buy the book. I borrowed it for time-pass.

Truth be Told..............I Bought this book but not with intention to read but to gift it to my bestie because my bestie loves to read Romantic Novels but events unfold in a manner that a day before yesterday i teared the plastic cover of the book and started reading in parallel with The Mahabharata Secret .But with turning pages , this plot seems to be different.....others call it a Romantic Novel But From My Point of View Author through a Love Story had given a situation that our Society is Truth be Told..............I Bought this book but not with intention to read but to gift it to my bestie because my bestie loves to read Romantic Novels but events unfold in a manner that a day before yesterday i teared the plastic cover of the book and started reading in parallel with The Mahabharata Secret .But with turning pages , this plot seems to be different.....others call it a Romantic Novel But From My Point of View Author through a Love Story had given a situation that our Society is currently confronting . As always Beginning with Front Cover.....Very Beautifully designed with an image of a boy and girl and a white light with a bit yellowish rays coming down widely on the grass and with in that Brightness written is YOUR DREAMS ARE MINE NOW .And above it is written the name of author Ravinder Singh . With that lying a pandent which after reading , can say its the symbol of love given by a Male Protagonist to Female Protagonist . Back Cover too had same sought of cover with a boy and a girl and the Yellowish bright sunlight and in that is written a short intro about the book. Through this book , author had successfully delivered number of meassges through a innocent love story . A story that tug at your love string . Book is pacy and events turned one by one and let reader feel thrill in a love story . Going next , after Front and Back cover , No doubt Ravinder singh is a famed author with flawless writting skills which makes his books loved by people and Honestly this is my first book i had read pen by Ravinder Singh .Story revolves around a Fresher of DU from Patna , Rupali .A good natured , small town girl who takes admission in DU . An idealist for whom studies are his highest Priority . Arjun , a delhi guy , seriously into Youth politics . Students Union elections are his first priority . I loves the way Arjun met Rupali . Author had written that particular point to showcase that the guy in that particular scene gonna be villian but my grey cells simply believes , here comes our Mr. Hero ;) And asusual ,its Bullseye ... Haha . I'm not going inside the plot outline , rather after reading this book some old memories gets fresh . Some scars on the whole society . As said With this inncocent love story Author had raised No. of Social Issues . Begining , with the Issue that comes up in Ist Part of the story { I divided the story in 3 Parts each having one issue that society is confrronting with } , Author has succesfully raised CORRUPTION bredding in different stages of Education system with help of Arjun and Rupali . As per plot , a Faculty name Mahajan abuse a peon named Rahemma and Rupali when found , steps a head to put that beast(Mahajan) behind the bar , which she succesfully accomplish but with help of Arjun . It's Rahemma who introduce Rupali to Arjun as Arjun considder Rahemma as her Sister . While working on task to put Mahajan in jail , Rupali and Arjun worked as a team and events unfold and a day found that both are in love with each other . This first part not just reveals that Mahajan was a black-sheep but also put light on how back door admissions going on with backing of Mahajan . Arjun has reasons to see Mahajan behind bars . One as i wrote earler was that he consider Rahemma as her sister and another is that , what happens with him two years ago . Arjun, currently in arts, wwas the first student in commerce admission waitlist but never get that seat because of back door admission and Qouta Reservations . With The plot , Author had succesfully defines the scale at which corruption is escalating and the fact that there are many who aren't corrupt but they too do nothing because they fear that if they raise their voice , they will lose their jobs . Even though illegitimate transactions Happens under their noses but they keep their mouth shut . Now Comes to the second part , this part reveals the growing relationship of Arjun and Rupali and sideways ccovers the ongoing elections in the Campus . This part reveals the barbish acts going on with North East States students . In this part , comes Tenzing , lead singer of the group of which Rupali too a part of . The musical group keeps distance from any politics but Its Rupali who asked Arjun one day to take Cultural groups in confidence and as a part of Musical group she suggest him meeting Tenzing . And Trio meet , they discussed about life of Students of North Eastern states facing in Delhi . Clearly Author links the story with all bad acts happend in past months with North Eastern Students in Delhi . And I really don't know why People treat them as they aren't the part of our country . Tenzing in the story to says that he too is as proud as a citizen of India as others so why North eastern people always excluded ? And for me North eastern India is an integral part of the Republic Of India and Yup I wanna visit their too because its damn awesome place as what i had seen in Pictures and Videos . With the character Tenzing , Author too points out reasons why people don't have much idea about North Eastern states and biggest issue is lack of information given at earlier stages about NE States . As per author ( I Too felt same) Students are taught with Punjab , kashmir , rajasthan , Gujrat but North Eastern states lacks in even getting to the books of students . But Honestly doesn't get a slighest idea why people discriminates others on the basis of Caste , Skin or name ! This is also one of the most gruesome problem that our society is currently facing . Third part comes up as tragic one . Something that really shatters anyone . Author linked this part of story with a barbic happend couple of years back in the chilling december of Delhi . One evening , Rupali left her Hostel to meet Arjun but couple of goons kidnap Rupali on the orders of Mahan who was actually bailed earlier and takes her to an abandoned place . Something worse happend with her . A beautiful innocent soul had been torn apart . The one who had always being the right thing had been badly wronged . This part reminds the anger !I really left with no words to describe how a reader felt while reading this with clearly knowing what happen that december . Its........I really dont know why the hell , Women aren't safe in a societ in which goddess are prayed . I always says I AM PROUD TO BE AN INDIAN but such acts can't even let eyes takes on from ground . I remember the lines of My Name is Khan " With death of a true soul , Humanity too dies " and ...... Its Catastrophic . Somthing very unacceptable and had to be completely vanished till the very end . And Rupali dies.....Rupali's death gave a birth o a movement , a movement for change , a movement to demand stringent laws and their enforcement and a movement to call for swifter judiciary . For me its not a love story , Its ....... Something far more wider than that . Love story was just used to put light on the issues that our society is confronting with . So Its a MUST READ and before beginning this book I thought , that this is the first and last book of Ravinder Singh as he writes romantic fiction and i hate those .... But its a good one .And By bestie if you had read the beginning lines then please dont frown because I first a copy of this book for you and then started reading this . THERE ARE CERTAIN DREAMS THAT ONE CAN'T FULFILL ON HIS OWN . WE NEEDS SOMEONE ELSE BY OUR SIDE TO MAKE OUR DREAMS COME TRUE ...........Your Dreams Are Mine Now !

The first 2 pages of book were giving shock, what type of love story it is..??? what this guy is going to talk about??? why he is more talking about the girl...?? where is the love story??? why other characters are explained so much??? many questions were there in my mind... and didn't get answer untill half of the book was read. but at the end I was able to connect everything. The climax of all book was there. and how beautifully the boy said that your dreams are mine now. 😊😊 The second best part was when they met first time before new Year eve... that part was beautifully narrated. and the third best part was when thy all fought against Mahajan (Professor). the way it was written was easily visualise and one could feel it. How author could have done better :- 1. He has explained other characters Sometimes very much which were not required, those could be reduced. 2. I felt it was more a story of Rupali than love story. only 2 times author shared about love and feelings otherwise in whole book he has talked about Rupali only. Either author could have changed the name of the book or the Story little bit. As we see the name of book as audience we have set some expections and when they are not fulfilled the raining hoes down. so the title should match more with the story. It's a very important aspect of any book. For example :- Agenda of meeting is Self esteem and I talked just 2 things about self esteem and all time I spent in talking about Self confidence, What kind of impression I would have on audience?? otherwise overall it was a very nice story. I felt so touched the way Rupali struggled and fought for the right things. and the ending of book was beautiful, when Arjun went to that Tulsi plant and smiled. I wish Author all the best for his future books. 😊

One of India's top writers think a book is where you write Bollywood scripts. The soul that captured hearts in Ravinder Singh's first novel I Too Had A Love Story.. is missing in Your Dreams are Mine now. Unfortunately it's been long gone. Now it seems like Ravinder has been into reading some of Chetan Bhagat 's books as evidence is quite evident in Your Dreams are mine now. The politics that Ravinder Singh writes of looks more like one of Chetan Bhagat's newspaper columns rather than a part of the story. And the effort that the author took to recreate one India's tragic episodes seems methodological and something every Indian has read at least 10 times. He seems to have understood that erotica is the flavour of the season and ended up including two rapes, a new year kiss and a phone sex scene in the book. These are rather ineffective and if anything avoidable. If you are looking for a good love story as the cover seems to suggest, I suggest try something else.

i really enjoyed reading this book,by seeing the cover i thought its just another love story, but its more than that..this book will help people who have enough courage in their heart but fails to speak up when anything bad occurs, since their heart and mind are not in sync..when heart boils with anger, the mind prevents it from protesting...rather moves back in fear....its just what i thought and after reading this i feel more confident in myself just because i felt some connections between me an i really enjoyed reading this book,by seeing the cover i thought its just another love story, but its more than that..this book will help people who have enough courage in their heart but fails to speak up when anything bad occurs, since their heart and mind are not in sync..when heart boils with anger, the mind prevents it from protesting...rather moves back in fear....its just what i thought and after reading this i feel more confident in myself just because i felt some connections between me and Rupali, and me and Arjun...we do share some common qualities.About the title of the book...its fabulous and i loved it...Really, as said by the author this book is dedicated to the brave hearts of INDIA who took a stand and refused to suffer in silence...

Unlike other Indian authors(who focuses on love stories) Ravinder singh has his uniqueness. This particular book opens with a promising start and ends with unfortunate turn of events. After reading this you may feel that is a common story which you are familiar of. But then the question is, whether you have to consider this as just a story? But that is not the case. Every day we hear the same story of corruption, molestation and rape. And that just goes on with out an end. But I strongly believe a better India is on the way and will leave all these stories behind.

I was seriously let down after reading this one, was expecting something better especially after reading mind blowing book like "I TOO HAD A LOVE STORY". It is set on the DELHI GANG RAPE or quite similar to it but just felt like that a story was being told and I am just sitting there and listening(reading) waiting for it to finish. Never got that feeling as "what happens now" or "wow" etc. In the end I'll just say that it is not so good as compared to Singh's first work, pick it up if you don't I was seriously let down after reading this one, was expecting something better especially after reading mind blowing book like "I TOO HAD A LOVE STORY".
